New 25% Section 232 Tariff Imposed on Medium and Heavy-Duty Truck Parts Effective Nov. 1
Truck Wheels →Under a proclamation issued by President Donald J. Trump under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, the United States will impose a 25% ad valorem duty on imported medium- and heavy-duty truck parts, taking effect on Nov. 1. The tariff applies to goods entered for consumption under newly created HTSUS Subchapter 9903.74. While these goods will not be subject to overlapping Section 232 tariffs on steel or aluminum, other duties such as general rates and Section 301 tariffs will continue to apply.
