Zinc Ingot Price in China Rises 1.6% to USD 3,969/tonne

Zinc ingot prices in China stood at USD 3,969/tonne as of 2026-09-04, up 1.6% from USD 3,905/tonne on 2026-08-28. The monthly change was +6.5% from USD 3,727/tonne on 2026-08-05, the quarterly change was +8.5% from USD 3,656/tonne on 2026-06-05 and the year change was +29.0% from USD 3,076/tonne on 2025-09-04. The 52-week high was USD 4,009/tonne on 2026-09-01 and the 52-week low was USD 3,036/tonne on 2025-09-29.

Shanghai Metals Market reported on 2026-09-03 that China's zinc ingot export window opened in July and remained active through August and September, supported by favorable arbitrage against the London Metal Exchange.

Shanghai Metals Market also reported on 2026-09-01 that refined zinc production is expected to decline by 2.9% in September 2026 due to sudden maintenance and production cuts at smelters in regions including Guangxi and Henan. On 2026-09-04, the same source reported that domestic zinc concentrate treatment charges reached record lows, with SMM domestic TC falling to -2,100 yuan/mt in the first week of September.

According to Shanghai Metals Market on 2026-09-03, seven-region zinc ingot inventory in China decreased by 37,100 tonnes between August 27 and September 3, 2026.
