Tin Ingot Price in China Falls 0.7% to USD 62,351/tonne

Tin ingot prices in China eased over the week and month but remain up 63.4% year on year, according to the latest market data.

Tin ingot prices in China stood at USD 62,351/tonne as of 2026-09-04, down 0.7% from USD 62,776/tonne on 2026-08-28. The month change was -1.8% from USD 63,489/tonne on 2026-08-05, while the quarter change was -0.3% from USD 62,565/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year, the price is up 63.4% from USD 38,153/tonne on 2025-09-04. The 52-week high was USD 66,035/tonne on 2026-06-03 and the 52-week low was USD 37,828/tonne on 2025-09-08.

On the supply side, Shanghai Metals Market reported that Yinman Mining's beneficiation plant resumed production on September 3 following a July 26 accident-related shutdown. The same source reported that China's tin ore imports from Myanmar fell to 4,569 tonnes in July, a 27% month-on-month decline in metal content.

Mysteel data show tin ingot inventory in major Chinese markets reached 9,836 tonnes as of August 28, marking consecutive weekly increases since mid-July.

Shanghai Metals Market also reported that Indonesia's Timah exported 4,564 tonnes of tin to China in August, reflecting a recovery within the expected range.
