Sugar in China was quoted at USD 776.35/tonne as of 2026-09-04, up 0.7% from USD 771.23/tonne on 2026-08-28. The price is 1.8% higher than the USD 762.97/tonne recorded on 2026-08-05. On a quarterly basis the commodity is down 2.2% from USD 793.72/tonne on 2026-06-05, and year on year it has fallen 6.3% from USD 828.11/tonne on 2025-09-04. The 52-week high stands at USD 829.64/tonne, set on 2025-09-05, and the 52-week low at USD 749.89/tonne, reached on 2025-12-19.
International sugar prices rose strongly in August 2026, pushing up Zhengzhou sugar futures [1].
