Steel Rebar Price in India Rises 1.1% to USD 527.05/tonne
Indian rebar reached a 52-week high of USD 527.05/tonne on 2026-09-30, up 18.1% over the quarter.
Steel rebar in India was quoted at USD 527.05/tonne as of 2026-09-30, up 1.1% from USD 521.30/tonne on 2026-09-23. The monthly gain stands at 9.6% from USD 480.92/tonne on 2026-08-31, and the price is up 18.1% from USD 446.24/tonne on 2026-07-02. The 2026-09-30 quote is also the 52-week high, while the 52-week low of USD 421.06/tonne was recorded on 2026-08-07.
According to Mysteel, major integrated steelmakers raised rebar list prices by INR 1,750 per tonne for early September deliveries, following cumulative August increases.
Shanghai Metals Market reported that Cyclone Arnab and heavy rainfall caused temporary production halts and supply tightening in Raipur and surrounding areas.
On the cost side, the New Indian Express reported that spot premium coking coal prices reached USD 265.50 per tonne FOB Australia by late September, a 40% year-on-year increase. Separately, NewsAge reported that NMDC commissioned a 135-km iron ore slurry pipeline connecting the Bacheli complex to the Nagarnar Pellet Plant on 2026-09-20.
