Soybean prices in China reached a 52-week high of USD 671.15/tonne on 2026-09-04, with the year-on-year gain standing at 11.1%.
Soybean prices in China stood at USD 671.15/tonne as of 2026-09-04, a weekly gain of 0.1% from USD 670.15/tonne on 2026-08-28 and a monthly gain of 0.7% from USD 666.67/tonne on 2026-08-05. The price was 0.7% higher than the USD 666.31/tonne recorded on 2026-06-05 at the start of the quarter. Over twelve months the price rose 11.1% from USD 603.86/tonne on 2025-09-04. The latest quote matched the 52-week high, against a 52-week low of USD 596.64/tonne set on 2025-10-22.
Several supply-side developments were reported in August. According to CZ app on 2026-08-13, China conducted state reserve soybean auctions during the month to clear storage space for incoming US and Brazilian shipments. Commodity Board reported on 2026-08-27 that Chinese buyers accelerated forward purchases of US soybeans for September-November shipment in order to meet an annual commitment of 25 million tonnes.
Mysteel reported on 2026-08-28 that nationwide crusher soybean stocks in China declined by 1.33% in late August while soybean meal inventories rose. Also on 2026-08-27, Commodity Board reported that China recorded historically high soybean import arrivals in July 2026, easing from June records.
