Soybean Price in China Steady at USD 674.29/tonne

Soybean in China was quoted at USD 674.29/tonne on 2026-09-29, unchanged on the week from USD 674.02/tonne on 2026-09-22. The month change stands at +0.6% from USD 670.15/tonne on 2026-08-28, and the quarter change is +1.7% from USD 662.89/tonne on 2026-07-01. The year change is +11.8% from USD 603.27/tonne on 2025-09-29.

The 52-week high of USD 674.49/tonne was set on 2026-09-21, and the 52-week low of USD 596.64/tonne was recorded on 2025-10-22.

According to Mysteel on 2026-09-25, soybean inventories at 111 Chinese crushing plants reached 7.96 million tons, the highest in 15 years.

Reuters reported on 2026-09-30 that China excluded soybeans from a list of US agricultural products receiving tariff relief. Reuters also reported the same day that Chinese private crushers reported negative margins of 120 to 200 yuan per ton for November US soybean shipments, and that Chinese buyers booked approximately 50 soybean cargoes in September, the lowest volume in four years.
