Over the quarter it has risen 11.2% from USD 545.88/tonne on 2026-07-02, and it stands 20.0% higher than the USD 505.79/tonne recorded on 2025-09-30. The 52-week high is USD 625.55/tonne on 2026-09-04 and the 52-week low is USD 491.06/tonne on 2025-12-17.

According to Reuters, Chinese crushing plants reported soybean inventories of 7.96 million tons as of September 25, the highest level in at least 15 years.

Mysteel reported that soybean inventories at major Chinese oil mills reached 8.65 million tonnes by the week of September 25, a 20.21% year-on-year increase.

Reuters also reported that Chinese importers booked approximately 50 soybean cargoes in September, the lowest volume in four years, while China purchased 1 million tons of US soybeans in early September ahead of President Xi Jinping's visit to Washington.
