Soybean meal in China was priced at USD 492.33/tonne as of 2026-09-03, a weekly rise of 2.2% from USD 481.82/tonne on 2026-08-27. The monthly change stands at 8.1% from USD 455.46/tonne on 2026-08-04, and the price has gained 16.3% over the quarter from USD 423.32/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year, the commodity is up 13.3% from USD 434.39/tonne on 2025-09-03.
Over the past 52 weeks, soybean meal reached a high of USD 503.73/tonne on 2026-03-13 and a low of USD 415.91/tonne on 2025-10-22.
Mysteel reported that nationwide soybean meal inventories rose to 1.1673 million tonnes by late August, an increase of 8.20% year-on-year. The same source noted that DCE soybean meal futures exceeded 3,300 RMB/tonne on August 27, 2026, driven by U.S. weather risk and forward supply concerns.
State reserve auctions sold 1.5744 million tonnes of imported soybeans between July 31 and August 26, 2026, at rising prices, according to Mysteel. Separately, IFCHOR GALBRAITHS reported that China's port soybean inventories reached a record 9.2 million tonnes by mid-August, representing a 34% increase year-on-year.
