Soybean meal prices in China stood at USD 507.12/tonne as of 2026-10-01, up 0.1% from USD 506.51/tonne on 2026-09-24. The commodity has gained 3.9% over the month from USD 488.23/tonne on 2026-09-01, 17.8% over the quarter from USD 430.59/tonne on 2026-07-03, and 20.8% over the year from USD 419.69/tonne on 2025-10-01.
The 52-week high of USD 519.72/tonne was recorded on 2026-09-17, while the 52-week low of USD 415.91/tonne dates to 2025-10-22.
Supply-side data points to ample availability. Mysteel reported that soybean inventories at 111 Chinese crushing plants reached 7.96 million tons in the week of September 25, the highest in at least 15 years. Soybean meal inventories at major oil mills rose 10.50% to 1.2964 million tonnes in the week ending September 25, according to Mysteel.
Claight market monitoring shows the USDA raised the U.S. soybean yield forecast to 52.8 bushels per acre on September 11, which initially pressured prices. Separately, Reuters reported that China excluded soybeans from a list of U.S. farm products receiving tariff relief following the Washington summit.
