Claight market monitoring shows that tight spot market supplies, driven by earlier destocking, supported price levels as of late August 2026. ChemPriceHub reported in June 2026 that raw material costs for sulfur and soda ash continued to rise, driving manufacturer price increases. Claight also reported that upstream sulfur price surges throughout the first half of 2026 caused widespread cost pressure on downstream chemical sectors.
