Silicone in China was quoted at USD 2,024/tonne as of 2026-09-03, an increase of 0.8% from USD 2,009/tonne on 2026-08-27. Over the month, the price rose 5.2% from USD 1,925/tonne on 2026-08-04. The quarter change stands at -7.5%, measured against USD 2,188/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year, the price is up 31.2% from USD 1,542/tonne on 2025-09-03. The 52-week high is USD 2,188/tonne, recorded on 2026-06-02, and the 52-week low is USD 1,542/tonne, recorded on 2025-09-03.
According to Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), coordinated industry production cuts at a 50% rate were advanced throughout August 2026. SMM also reported that monomer plant inventories reached mid-to-low levels for the year by early September 2026.
