Seamless Pipe Price in China Edges Up 0.2% to USD 608.12/tonne
China seamless pipe prices rose for the week as mill output fell and input costs firmed, according to Mysteel.
The price of seamless pipe in China stood at USD 608.12/tonne as of 2026-09-03, up 0.2% from USD 606.82/tonne a week earlier. The price is up 1.5% over the month from USD 599.09/tonne and 0.1% over the quarter from USD 607.78/tonne. Compared with a year earlier, the price has risen 6.1% from USD 573.08/tonne.
According to Mysteel, producers reduced output voluntarily, and mill inventories fell over the same period. Mysteel also reported that rises in pipe billet prices in Shandong and Jiangsu pushed costs higher, and that seventeen steel mills announced maintenance schedules involving capacity adjustments.
Subsequently, Mysteel reported that output recovered as mill maintenance ended, while social inventory across sampled enterprises increased. The price moved closer to its 52-week high of USD 609.22/tonne set on 2026-06-17, having previously traded down to a 52-week low of USD 568.88/tonne on 2025-11-10.
