Red Dates Price in China Falls 2.9% to USD 1,175/tonne
Red dates in China continue to decline week on week, with prices down across all measured periods.
Red dates in China were quoted at USD 1,175/tonne as of 2026-09-04, down 2.9% from USD 1,210/tonne on 2026-08-28. The month change stands at -4.2% from USD 1,226/tonne on 2026-08-05, and the quarter change is -12.4% from USD 1,341/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year, the price is down 23.1% from USD 1,528/tonne on 2025-09-04. The 52-week high is USD 1,603/tonne, recorded on 2025-10-17, and the 52-week low is USD 1,165/tonne, recorded on 2026-07-17.
Supply-side conditions in China point in different directions. 中泰期货 reported that hail and strong winds hit parts of Aksu and Shaya in Xinjiang, causing localised fruit drop. 中国金融信息网 reported that accumulated temperatures in Xinjiang's main producing regions are above the level of the past decade for the same period, strengthening expectations of a plentiful new-season crop.
On the demand and inventory side, 南华期货 reported that physical stocks at sample points were up year on year and destocking was slow. 广发期货 reported that arrivals at the Cui'erzhuang market in Hebei have risen significantly, keeping spot prices weak.
The combination of rising arrivals, slow destocking and a favourable growing season in Xinjiang sits alongside the continued decline in the quoted price, which remains near its 52-week low of USD 1,165/tonne.
