Propylene Glycol Price in China Rises 0.5% to USD 1,442/tonne

Propylene glycol prices in China stood at USD 1,442/tonne as of 2026-10-01, a weekly gain of 0.5% from USD 1,435/tonne on 2026-09-24. The monthly change was +2.7% from USD 1,403/tonne on 2026-09-01, and the price is up 10.3% over the quarter from USD 1,307/tonne on 2026-07-03. Year on year, the commodity has risen 64.2% from USD 877.86/tonne on 2025-10-01.

According to Claight market monitoring, propylene oxide prices followed an inverted V-pattern in September 2026, driving initial propylene glycol price surges followed by a mid-month retreat. Claight market monitoring shows that facilities including Baijiarui, Shenghua Jining, and Hunan Zhongchuang restarted in September 2026, increasing total market supply.
