Chinese PrNd oxide prices eased week-on-week and month-on-month while remaining up on the quarter and the year, per Claight market tracking.
Praseodymium Neodymium Oxide prices in China stood at USD 108,274/tonne as of 2026-09-03, down 0.7% from USD 108,998/tonne on 2026-08-27. The price is 1.8% lower than the USD 110,313/tonne recorded on 2026-08-04, though it remains 4.6% above the USD 103,464/tonne quoted on 2026-06-05 and 28.9% above the USD 83,967/tonne of 2025-09-03. The 52-week high is USD 130,823/tonne on 2026-02-26 and the 52-week low is USD 70,542/tonne on 2025-10-20.
According to Shanghai Metals Market, China's recycled PrNd oxide output rose 15.35% month-on-month in August, driven by leading recyclers depleting stockpiled feedstock after maintenance. Primary ore separation output saw no significant volume gains in August, creating a scrap-led supply recovery pattern.
Shanghai Metals Market also reported that large producers entered the market on August 21 to procure PrNd oxide, triggering a single-day price rebound of approximately 1.1%. Downstream NdFeB demand contracted in July due to weak domestic sales and weather-related disruptions, delaying the traditional peak season. Raw ore separation and scrap recycling plants underwent production cuts in July due to price inversions and policy awaiting, tightening spot availability.
