Praseodymium neodymium alloy in China was quoted at USD 131,343/tonne as of 2026-09-03, down 0.3% from USD 131,690/tonne on 2026-08-27. The monthly change was -1.7%, from USD 133,634/tonne on 2026-08-04, while the quarter change was +5.5%, from USD 124,526/tonne on 2026-06-05. On an annual basis the price is up 27.3% from USD 103,210/tonne on 2025-09-03.

Over the past 52 weeks the alloy reached a high of USD 161,850/tonne on 2026-02-27 and a low of USD 85,294/tonne on 2025-10-24.

Supply-side policy is shaping the market. China's Ministry of Natural Resources and MIIT issued consolidated H2 2026 light rare earth mining and smelting quotas in late August 2026 to cap extraction volumes, according to East Asia Brief on 2026-08-28. On the recycling side, Shanghai Metals Market reported on 2026-09-01 that recycled PrNd oxide output in China rose 15.35% MoM in August 2026, driven by increased operating rates at leading large-scale recyclers.

Production also moved higher earlier in the period. Shanghai Metals Market reported on 2026-07-31 that Pr-Nd alloy output in China rose 3.74% MoM in July 2026, driven by a significant increase in toll processing orders within Inner Mongolia. More recently, Shanghai Metals Market reported on 2026-09-04 that Pr-Nd alloy quotes were raised by 7,500 yuan/mt on September 4, 2026, following higher upstream raw material costs.
