Potassium nitrate prices in China stood at USD 712.52/tonne as of 2026-09-03, a weekly decline of 0.5% from USD 716.11/tonne on 2026-08-27. The monthly change was -7.0%, down from USD 766.26/tonne on 2026-08-04, and the quarter change was -7.7%, down from USD 772.29/tonne on 2026-06-05.
Over the past twelve months the price has risen 8.9%, from USD 654.25/tonne on 2025-09-03. The 52-week high of USD 785.57/tonne was recorded on 2026-06-02, and the 52-week low of USD 612.03/tonne on 2025-10-27.
Several developments bear on the Chinese market. State policy reporting on 2026-09-01 confirmed that China resumed normal export declaration for agricultural phosphate fertilizers. Mysteel reported on 2026-08-27 that potassium chloride port inventories rose to 3.74 million tons.
According to Claight market monitoring, the domestic potassium nitrate benchmark price decreased to 5162.50 RMB/ton as of 2026-08-07. ChemAnalyst data from 2026-08-04 showed sodium nitrate production costs fell by 2.10 percent month-on-month, a movement in a related nitrate input relevant to the Chinese market.
