Potassium Chloride Price in China Edges Down 1.7% to USD 499.66/tonne

Potassium chloride prices in China were quoted at USD 499.66/tonne as of 2026-09-30. The week change was +0.0%, holding from USD 499.45/tonne on 2026-09-23, while the month change was -1.7% from USD 508.45/tonne on 2026-08-31.

Over the quarter the price fell 5.3%, from USD 527.81/tonne on 2026-07-02. On the year it rose 1.6%, from USD 491.60/tonne on 2025-09-30. The 52-week high was USD 537.59/tonne on 2026-03-02 and the 52-week low was USD 472.37/tonne on 2025-11-05.

Claight market monitoring shows that potassium chloride prices rebounded by 50 to 150 RMB/tonne due to expectations of favorable policies and the start of autumn fertilizer stocking, according to a note dated 2026-09-10. Earlier in the month, Claight reported that imported potassium chloride prices remained steady at 3,516.67 RMB/ton in early August, owing to off-season demand and high coastal port inventories.

Claight market monitoring also shows China imported 1.27 million tonnes of potassium chloride in July, taking the year-to-date total to 10.08 million tonnes, a 47.9% year-on-year increase.
