Polymethyl Methacrylate Price in China Steady at USD 2,133/tonne
Chinese polymethyl methacrylate held flat on the week and remains down 8.1% on the quarter.
Polymethyl methacrylate in China was quoted at USD 2,133/tonne as of 2026-09-03, unchanged from USD 2,133/tonne a week earlier. Over the month the price fell 2.9% from USD 2,196/tonne on 2026-08-04, and the quarter shows a decline of 8.1% from USD 2,321/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year the price is down 2.3% from USD 2,183/tonne on 2025-09-03.
The 52-week range runs from USD 2,125/tonne on 2026-08-11 to USD 2,339/tonne on 2026-05-25.
Upstream feedstock costs have shaped the backdrop. ChemNet reported on 2026-07-21 that Wanhua Chemical raised methyl methacrylate quotes in mid-July due to surging upstream feedstock costs. ECHEMI reported on 2026-08-17 that methyl methacrylate prices increased to approximately 11,500-11,600 RMB per tonne by mid-August because of feedstock cost pressure.
Downstream of that, the polymethyl methacrylate market itself has been calm. Petrochemical News reported on 2026-08-31 that domestic polymethyl methacrylate prices in China remained stable as of 2026-08-28, and the latest weekly quote of USD 2,133/tonne shows no change on the week.
