Polyester yarn prices in China stood at USD 1,801/tonne as of 2026-09-04, up 0.1% from USD 1,798/tonne on 2026-08-28. The commodity has risen 2.0% over the month, from USD 1,765/tonne on 2026-08-05, and 0.4% over the quarter, from USD 1,793/tonne on 2026-06-05. On a yearly basis the price is up 12.7%, from USD 1,598/tonne on 2025-09-04.

According to CCFGroup, prices fell in early July to their lowest level since the March rally, driven by a plunge in crude oil prices following the US-Iran peace memorandum. CCFGroup also reported a rebound in August amid steep hikes in PTA and MEG feedstock costs.

Claight market monitoring shows the reference ex-factory spot price for 32S ring-spun 100% polyester yarn in the Shandong region remained flat as of early September compared with the previous week. Claight market monitoring also shows prices for 32S ring-spun 100% polyester yarn in the Changle region rose from 11,550 RMB/ton in early August to 11,750 RMB/ton by mid-to-late August.

Over the past 52 weeks the price reached a high of USD 1,860/tonne on 2026-04-08 and a low of USD 1,572/tonne on 2025-12-18.
