Polyacrylamide Price in China Holds at USD 2,084/tonne
Chinese polyacrylamide prices were little changed week on week, with supply developments in the acrylonitrile chain shaping the recent trend.
Polyacrylamide prices in China stood at USD 2,084/tonne as of 2026-09-03, unchanged on the week from USD 2,083/tonne on 2026-08-27. The month change was +0.8%, from USD 2,067/tonne on 2026-08-04, while the quarter change was -0.7%, from USD 2,099/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year the price is up 14.5%, from USD 1,819/tonne on 2025-09-03, which was also the 52-week low. The 52-week high of USD 2,102/tonne was reached on 2026-06-16.
Supply conditions in the upstream acrylamide chain affected the market in July. According to SECTORPULSE, an unplanned shutdown at a Shandong acrylonitrile facility and environmental inspections in early July tightened acrylamide supply, extending export lead times to 6-8 weeks.
Claight market monitoring shows that acrylonitrile production at Liaoning Kingfa Technology was scheduled for a 20-day maintenance shutdown in mid-August. Claight market monitoring also shows that Tianchen Qixiang and Haijiang acrylonitrile facilities began resuming operations in August, with additional capacity planned for September.
