Polyacrylamide Price in China Edges Up 0.4% to USD 2,091/tonne

Polyacrylamide in China was priced at USD 2,091/tonne as of 2026-09-29, an increase of 0.4% from USD 2,084/tonne a week earlier. The monthly change is also 0.4%, from USD 2,083/tonne on 2026-08-28, and the price stands 0.4% above USD 2,084/tonne on 2026-07-01 at the start of the quarter. Year on year, the price is up 14.6% from USD 1,826/tonne on 2025-09-29.

Claight market monitoring shows that concentrated downstream restocking at the end of September drove a rebound in polyacrylamide market prices. The same source reports that downstream municipal and industrial wastewater treatment sectors increased operating rates in late September. Separately, acrylonitrile prices fell 5.69% in September, reducing upstream cost support for polyacrylamide production, according to Claight.

Supply conditions shifted during August. Claight market monitoring shows that the Tianchen Qixiang and Haijiang facilities resumed operations in August, increasing market supply. Over the same period, high-temperature-related power restrictions limited downstream operating rates and procurement volumes.

The 52-week high stands at USD 2,102/tonne, recorded on 2026-06-16, and the 52-week low at USD 1,821/tonne on 2025-10-14.
