Phosphorus Yellow Price in China Rises 0.1% to USD 4,141/tonne
Phosphorus yellow in China is quoted at USD 4,141/tonne, up slightly on the week but down on the month, quarter and against its June peak.
The price of phosphorus yellow in China stands at USD 4,141/tonne as of 2026-10-02, a weekly gain of 0.1% from USD 4,136/tonne on 2026-09-25. Over the month the price has fallen 1.7% from USD 4,215/tonne on 2026-09-02, and it is down 0.9% over the quarter from USD 4,178/tonne on 2026-07-03. On an annual basis the price is up 34.6% from USD 3,077/tonne on 2025-10-02.
Supply-side developments continue to shape the Chinese market. TDD Global reported that Wengfu shut down two furnaces in Guizhou on 2026-08-31. Earlier, YINSU Flame Retardant reported on 2026-09-07 that Guizhou producers had reduced production due to environmental regulations and that Yunnan plants had suspended operations following an unexpected incident.
According to Claight market monitoring, Guizhou producers reduced output and withheld stock to drive price recovery, a development dated 2026-08-07. Claight market monitoring also shows that Yunnan electricity prices were lowered from 0.36 to 0.33 RMB/kWh on the same date.
The commodity traded between a 52-week high of USD 5,150/tonne on 2026-06-16 and a 52-week low of USD 3,042/tonne on 2025-10-20.
