Supply conditions in Guizhou have shaped recent movement. According to SMM, Guizhou yellow phosphorus plants initiated concentrated maintenance and faced environmental oversight in August 2026, tightening regional supply. Claight market monitoring shows that production units in Guizhou underwent output restrictions in mid-to-late July 2026, leading to a temporary contraction in supply.
Claight market monitoring also reports that producers in Guizhou withheld stock and reduced operating rates in late July 2026 following a contraction in profit margins.
