PC Price in China Rises 1.6% to USD 2,200/tonne

The price has risen 6.5% over the month, from USD 2,067/tonne on 2026-08-05. Across the quarter the price is down 3.5%, from USD 2,281/tonne on 2026-06-05, while the year change is +10.3% from USD 1,996/tonne on 2025-09-04.
Supply-side pressure has come from domestic feedstock availability. Sina Finance reported on 2026-08-10 that Wanhua Chemical halted all of its lines for maintenance, tightening supply of PC raw materials in China.
Demand conditions in the personal computing chain have also tightened. According to reports cited by market sources, AI demand has pushed memory manufacturers to shift capacity from consumer DRAM to high-profit HBM for servers, creating severe supply shortages for PC components. ICViews reported on 2026-09-04 that Microsoft raised Windows OEM licensing fees by 7% to 10% to absorb cost pressure.
Over the past 52 weeks the commodity reached a high of USD 2,456/tonne on 2026-03-11 and a low of USD 1,844/tonne on 2026-02-04. The latest quote of USD 2,200/tonne leaves the year change at +10.3%.
