Para Xylene Price in China Rises 1.1% to USD 1,477/tonne

Para Xylene was quoted at USD 1,477/tonne on 2026-09-30, up 1.1% from USD 1,461/tonne a week earlier. The month-on-month change stands at 16.7% from USD 1,265/tonne on 2026-08-31, and the quarter has brought an increase of 26.9% from USD 1,164/tonne on 2026-07-02. Over the year, the price has risen 54.6% from USD 955.11/tonne on 2025-09-30.

The 52-week high is USD 1,541/tonne, set on 2026-03-10. The 52-week low is USD 933.12/tonne, recorded on 2025-10-22.

Supply-side developments have shaped the recent move. OPIS reported on 2026-08-24 that domestic PX plant maintenance had reached 1.133 million mt of offline capacity in July, constraining local supply.
