Palm oil in India was quoted at USD 1,490/tonne as of 2026-09-04, an increase of 1.2% from USD 1,472/tonne on 2026-08-28. The price is up 2.8% over the month, from USD 1,450/tonne on 2026-08-05, and 2.6% over the quarter, from USD 1,452/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year, the price has risen 12.0% from USD 1,330/tonne on 2025-09-04.
The 52-week high stands at USD 1,495/tonne, recorded on 2026-09-03. The 52-week low of USD 1,252/tonne was set on 2025-12-16.
According to GLOBOIL Intelligence, India imported 730,965 tonnes of palm oil in July 2026, a 50% month-on-month increase to restock for the festival season. The same source reports that Indonesia implemented a B50 biodiesel mandate on 1 July 2026, diverting crude palm oil supply toward domestic fuel use.
India Seatrade News reports that Malaysian palm oil exports are estimated to have declined 8% in August 2026 due to weaker-than-expected Indian demand.
