PAC Price in China Edges Up 0.5% to USD 266.49/tonne

PAC in China was quoted at USD 266.49/tonne as of 2026-09-30, up 0.5% from USD 265.13/tonne a week earlier. The price has gained 0.7% over the month, from USD 264.64/tonne on 2026-08-31, while the quarter change stands at -0.1% from USD 266.85/tonne on 2026-07-02.
On a yearly basis, the commodity is up 10.8%, having traded at USD 240.42/tonne on 2025-09-30. Over the past 52 weeks, the price reached a high of USD 268.14/tonne on 2026-06-16 and a low of USD 239.73/tonne on 2025-10-14.
On the cost side, Yicai reported on 2026-09-22 that coal prices surged in September owing to a supply contraction following a May mine disaster in Shanxi province, a factor bearing on production costs for Chinese chemical producers.
On the demand side, ChemAnalyst reported on 2026-09-29 that over 20 paper machines are scheduled for maintenance shutdowns between September and October, affecting a key downstream sector. CNBC reported on 2026-09-30 that China's manufacturing PMI rose to 50.1 in September, ending a two-month contractionary streak.
