The monthly move is +3.6% from USD 2,443/tonne on 2026-08-04, the quarterly move +3.7% from USD 2,439/tonne on 2026-06-05, and the yearly move +21.3% from USD 2,085/tonne on 2025-09-03. According to Claight market monitoring, polyamide FDY prices rose 3.03% in August 2026, driven by higher costs for the upstream raw material caprolactam.
ChinaTexnet.com reported that caprolactam prices increased by approximately 1,600 RMB/ton in July 2026 due to production plant maintenance and higher feedstock costs. ChinaTexnet.com also reported that filament manufacturers reduced operating rates to 67.4% by mid-August 2026 to manage inventory and combat severe margin compression.
Claight market monitoring shows that downstream fabric demand remained seasonally weak throughout August 2026, resulting in limited transaction volumes despite filament price hikes.
