Nylon DTY Price in China Rises 7.9% to USD 2,688/tonne

Nylon DTY in China was quoted at USD 2,688/tonne as of 2026-10-01, a weekly rise of 0.1% from USD 2,685/tonne on 2026-09-24 and a monthly rise of 7.9% from USD 2,490/tonne on 2026-09-01. Over the quarter the price has gained 15.2% from USD 2,333/tonne on 2026-07-03, and over the year it is up 37.9% from USD 1,950/tonne on 2025-10-01.

The 52-week high stands at USD 2,757/tonne, reached on 2026-03-10, and the 52-week low at USD 1,903/tonne, reached on 2025-11-05.

Claight market monitoring shows that polyamide DTY prices rose 7.65% in September 2026, driven by a step-like increase in caprolactam and PA6 chip costs. CCFGROUP reported on 2026-09-23 that nylon 6 filament operating rates dropped to 66.2%, 9% lower year-on-year, as mills scheduled holiday shutdowns due to weak orders.

CCFGROUP also reported on 2026-09-02 that ocean freight rates for nylon exports to India doubled to over $3,000 per container, discouraging delivery and dampening demand.
