Nylon 6 Price in China Falls 1.2% to USD 2,178/tonne
Nylon 6 in China slipped 1.2% week on week to USD 2,178/tonne as of 2026-10-01, though the price remains up 53.0% year on year.
Nylon 6 in China was quoted at USD 2,178/tonne as of 2026-10-01, down 1.2% from USD 2,205/tonne on 2026-09-24. Against 2026-09-01, the price is up 8.7% from USD 2,003/tonne, and over the quarter it has risen 26.9% from USD 1,715/tonne on 2026-07-03. Year on year, the price is 53.0% higher than the USD 1,423/tonne recorded on 2025-10-01. The 52-week high stands at USD 2,300/tonne on 2026-09-21 and the 52-week low at USD 1,273/tonne on 2025-11-03.
According to CCFGroup, Luxi, Shenma, and Lubao suspended or reduced production in July, removing 400,000 tons of capacity and lowering caprolactam operating rates to 66%. CCFGroup also reported that caprolactam prices rose by 1,600 yuan/mt in July, driven by higher crude oil costs and concentrated plant maintenance.
CCFGroup noted that benzene spot prices climbed to 8,450 yuan/mt in July owing to depleted port and social inventories. The same source recorded that nylon filament average operating rates fell to 68.5% by late July, from 73.5% at the start of the month, due to margin pressure.
The price of USD 2,178/tonne on 2026-10-01 sits within the 52-week range established between USD 1,273/tonne and USD 2,300/tonne.
