The month change stands at +6.7% from USD 2,597/tonne on 2026-08-31, and the quarter change at +20.4% from USD 2,302/tonne on 2026-07-02. The year change is +18.8% from USD 2,332/tonne on 2025-09-30.
Over the past 52 weeks the commodity reached a high of USD 3,445/tonne on 2026-04-08 and a low of USD 2,174/tonne on 2025-11-27.
Claight market monitoring shows that butadiene prices rose 7.5% in early September due to steam cracking unit maintenance, creating cost-push pressure for nitrile rubber. Claight market monitoring also recorded that China's NBR exports fell 16.52% in August, increasing domestic supply pressure on spot prices.
According to Claight market monitoring, China's synthetic rubber production reached 792,000 tonnes in August, a 7.2% year-on-year increase that intensified expectations of ample supply. Claight market monitoring further shows that Lanzhou Petrochemical initiated annual maintenance for NBR units in July, reducing industry operating rates from 75% to 68%.
