Natural rubber in China closed at USD 2,687/tonne on 2026-09-04, up 0.6% on the week and 27.4% over the year.
Natural rubber in China was quoted at USD 2,687/tonne as of 2026-09-04, a weekly rise of 0.6% from USD 2,672/tonne on 2026-08-28. Over the month the price gained 8.6% from USD 2,475/tonne on 2026-08-05, and it stands 2.1% higher over the quarter, against USD 2,632/tonne on 2026-06-05. The yearly change is +27.4%, from USD 2,109/tonne on 2025-09-04. The 52-week high is USD 2,696/tonne, set on 2026-09-01, and the 52-week low is USD 2,014/tonne, set on 2025-10-17.
On the supply side, Gate News reported on 2026-08-31 that Thailand's natural rubber exports to China fell 25% year-over-year in the first seven months of 2026. Claight market monitoring shows that persistent rainfall in Thailand and Vietnam since August has disrupted rubber tapping and reduced raw material availability.
Inventory data points the same way. Gate News reported on 2026-08-31 that natural rubber inventories at Qingdao port declined to 631,500 tons by August 23, down 10,600 tons month-over-month.
Demand has also provided support. Claight market monitoring shows that China's rubber tire casing production increased 8.1% year-over-year in July 2026.
