According to The National, QatarEnergy extended force majeure on LNG shipments to India through November and early December due to Strait of Hormuz disruptions.

Mint reports that India is planning to build 15 additional LNG storage tanks to boost reserves by two weeks and may impose a 10% pipeline tariff surcharge.

The HinduBusinessLine reports that India imported a record 155.25 billion cubic feet of LNG from the US during the first half of 2026 to offset supply losses from the Middle East.
