Natural Gas Mini Price in India Rises 1.7% to USD 0.88/mwh
Weekly and monthly gains contrast with a quarter-on-quarter decline as supply disruptions affect Indian LNG deliveries.
Natural Gas Mini in India was quoted at USD 0.88/mwh on 2026-09-30, up 1.7% from USD 0.87/mwh a week earlier. Over the month the price has risen 4.1% from USD 0.85/mwh on 2026-08-31.
The longer trend points the other way. The commodity is down 5.6% over the quarter from USD 0.94/mwh on 2026-07-02 and down 7.6% over the year from USD 0.96/mwh on 2025-09-30. The 52-week high stands at USD 2.03/mwh on 2026-01-28 and the 52-week low at USD 0.74/mwh on 2026-04-27.
Supply conditions in West Asia bear on the Indian market. According to The National, QatarEnergy extended force majeure on LNG shipments to India through November and early December due to Strait of Hormuz disruptions. Mint reported that India proposed a 10% pipeline tariff surcharge to fund 15 new LNG storage tanks to buffer against West Asian supply volatility. AG News reported that spot LNG prices for Indian deliveries reached approximately $25.50/MMBtu in early October, nearing four-year highs.
