Monoammonium Phosphate in China Falls 2.3% to USD 563.30/tonne

Monoammonium phosphate in China was quoted at USD 563.30/tonne as of 2026-10-01, down 2.3% from USD 576.53/tonne on 2026-09-24. The month change stands at -12.1% from USD 641.15/tonne on 2026-09-01, and the price has fallen 15.5% over the quarter from USD 667.02/tonne on 2026-07-03. Year on year, the price is up 19.0% from USD 473.34/tonne on 2025-10-01.

The 52-week high of USD 667.02/tonne was set on 2026-07-03, and the 52-week low of USD 468.26/tonne was recorded on 2025-10-14.

The recent decline follows changes in Chinese trade policy. According to Yixin Chemical, China resumed normal export declaration procedures for agricultural phosphate fertilizers on 1 September 2026, ending a suspension in place since 14 March 2026.

Trade flows shifted around that transition. Shanghai Metals Market reported that China's phosphate ore exports surged to 61,000 tonnes in August 2026, signalling market pre-positioning ahead of the end of the phosphate fertilizer export ban window. The same source reported that China's phosphate ore imports reached 116,000 tonnes in August 2026, a 563.2% increase month-on-month, recovering from an extremely low base in July caused by the export ban.
