The quarter comparison is higher by 0.6%, from USD 632.61/tonne on 2026-06-05, and the year-on-year change stands at +33.4% from USD 477.21/tonne on 2025-09-03.
The 52-week high for the commodity is USD 667.02/tonne, recorded on 2026-07-03. The 52-week low is USD 468.26/tonne, recorded on 2025-10-14.
On the supply side, Fertilizer Daily reported on 2026-07-29 that China extended restrictions on phosphate fertilizer exports through August 2026 to protect domestic supplies amid global trade volatility. Claight market monitoring shows domestic MAP industry operating rates were suppressed at roughly 48.98% as of June 2026, with 17 units idle, limiting overall market supply.
Cost support has also been present: Claight reported that sulfur production costs remained high due to Middle East geopolitical conflicts and limited port supply, providing a firm price floor for MAP.
