Mattress Fibre Price in Sri Lanka Rises 2.1% to USD 99.00/tonne

Mattress fibre prices in Sri Lanka stood at USD 99.00/tonne as of 2026-08-22, up 2.1% from USD 97.00/tonne on 2026-08-15. The monthly change is also 2.1%, from USD 97.00/tonne on 2026-07-18. Over the quarter the price has risen 15.1%, from USD 86.00/tonne on 2026-05-23, while the year-on-year movement is a decline of 10.8%, from USD 111.00/tonne on 2025-08-16.

The 52-week high for the commodity is USD 124.00/tonne, recorded on 2025-10-04. The 52-week low is USD 86.00/tonne, recorded on 2026-05-23, the same date as the quarter's starting point.

Cost pressures in Sri Lanka have accumulated in recent months. The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation increased heavy fuel oil and naphtha prices by approximately 20 percent on August 30, 2026, raising production costs for energy-intensive manufacturing.
