Manganese silicon in China was priced at USD 847.93/tonne as of 2026-09-29, down 0.3% from USD 850.44/tonne on 2026-09-22. The monthly change stands at -1.5%, from USD 860.90/tonne on 2026-08-28, while the quarter change is +4.3%, from USD 813.30/tonne on 2026-07-01. Over the year the price is up 6.5%, from USD 796.49/tonne on 2025-09-29.
The 52-week high is USD 899.10/tonne, recorded on 2026-03-30, and the 52-week low is USD 764.86/tonne, recorded on 2025-11-21.
According to Shanghai Metals Market, coke prices rose through successive hikes in August and September 2026, increasing production costs for manganese silicon producers. Claight market monitoring shows Yuqian Manganese Industry suspended production of 45,000 tonnes of monthly capacity effective September 20, 2026, and Guangxi Tiandong Shengjin New Materials halted operations of 20,000 tonnes of monthly capacity effective October 1, 2026.
Shanghai Metals Market reported that Inner Mongolia and Ningxia producers increased operating rates and capacity in September 2026 due to improved production margins.
