Lead Mini in India was quoted at USD 2,170/tonne as of 2026-09-04, an increase of 2.1% from USD 2,125/tonne on 2026-08-28. The monthly change stands at 0.9%, measured from USD 2,150/tonne on 2026-08-05. Over the quarter, the price is down 1.2% from USD 2,197/tonne on 2026-06-05, while the year-on-year change is an increase of 3.2% from USD 2,104/tonne on 2025-09-04.
The 52-week high is USD 2,236/tonne, recorded on 2026-05-22, and the 52-week low is USD 2,039/tonne, recorded on 2025-12-15.
According to Shanghai Metals Market on 2026-08-20, smelters across India are facing an inability to secure sufficient remelted lead, leading to a documented shortage of supply for refined lead production throughout August. The same source reported that geopolitical tensions in the Hormuz Strait have weakened the reliability of remelted lead scrap imports into India since approximately mid-August.
