Hydrofluoric acid in China reached USD 2,848/tonne on 2026-09-03, a 52-week high, as supply disruptions and rising fluorspar costs supported the market.
Hydrofluoric acid in China was quoted at USD 2,848/tonne as of 2026-09-03, up 16.7% from USD 2,440/tonne on 2026-08-27. The price is up 2.1% over the month from USD 2,789/tonne on 2026-08-04, and up 4.5% over the quarter from USD 2,725/tonne on 2026-06-05. On the year, the price is up 47.8% from USD 1,927/tonne on 2025-09-03. The 52-week low stands at USD 1,610/tonne on 2025-09-25.
Claight market monitoring shows that Jin'ebo Fluorochemical suspended production at its 20,000-tonne facility, tightening supply. Claight market monitoring also shows domestic fluorspar mines suspended operations for safety rectifications, contracting raw ore supply, and that production halts at major plants in North China forced operating rates down to 43 percent.
On the raw material side, Eastmoney reported fluorspar prices reached 3,600-3,700 RMB/ton, up nearly 200 RMB from the half-year average. Separately, ChemNet reported electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid exports rose 15.01 percent month-on-month in July.
The quote of USD 2,848/tonne on 2026-09-03 is also the 52-week high for the market.
