Hydrofluoric Acid Price in China Falls 1.0% to USD 2,824/tonne
Weekly and monthly declines contrast with a quarterly gain and a 33.4% rise over the year.
The China hydrofluoric acid market was quoted at USD 2,824/tonne as of 2026-09-30, down 1.0% from USD 2,853/tonne a week earlier and 0.8% below the USD 2,847/tonne recorded on 2026-08-31.
Over the quarter, prices are 5.7% higher than the USD 2,671/tonne quoted on 2026-07-02, and the year-on-year move stands at 33.4% from USD 2,116/tonne on 2025-09-30. The 52-week high of USD 2,858/tonne was set on 2026-09-21 and the 52-week low of USD 1,864/tonne on 2026-01-02.
According to Claight market monitoring, intensified national safety inspections and production rectifications in domestic mines caused a 62.3% year-on-year drop in Alxa League fluorite output during the first half of 2026. Claight market monitoring also shows that major northern hydrofluoric acid plants experienced force majeure production halts in July, with industry operating rates falling to 43%.
Shanghai Beiling Trading Co., Ltd. reported that mainstream producers raised new order contract prices by 300 yuan/ton in September due to sustained cost pressures. The same source noted that the environmental impact assessment for Anhui Furui Xing's 50,000-ton hydrofluoric acid expansion project was accepted.
