Hydrochloric Acid Price in China Up 5.4% to USD 27.44/tonne
The weekly gain leaves hydrochloric acid in China down over the month but well above year-earlier levels.
Hydrochloric acid in China was priced at USD 27.44/tonne as of 2026-09-07, up 5.4% from USD 26.04/tonne on 2026-08-31.
The monthly comparison stands at -1.5%, against USD 27.86/tonne on 2026-08-07. Over the quarter the price has fallen 8.2%, from USD 29.90/tonne on 2026-06-09.
The annual move is much larger. Hydrochloric acid has risen 226.5% from USD 8.41/tonne on 2025-09-05. The 52-week high of USD 31.82/tonne was recorded on 2026-06-16 and the 52-week low of USD 9.47/tonne on 2025-09-08.
On the supply side, ChemPriceHub reported that Zhangzhou Xiangcheng San'an Chemical Co. lowered its hydrochloric acid offer price by 30 yuan/ton to 230 yuan/ton on August 19, 2026. The reduction applied to a producer selling into the Chinese domestic market, and came during the period covered by the monthly decline. Since that reported offer cut, the weekly direction of the benchmark price has been upward, with the latest quotation of USD 27.44/tonne on 2026-09-07 sitting 5.4% above the 2026-08-31 level.
