Guar Price in India Rises 10.1% to USD 527.53/tonne
Guar in India reached USD 527.53/tonne on 2026-09-01, up 10.1% on the month and 37.9% on the quarter.
Guar prices in India stood at USD 527.53/tonne as of 2026-09-01. The price rose 10.1% over the week and 10.1% over the month from USD 479.11/tonne on 2026-08-01. Across the quarter it climbed 37.9% from USD 382.66/tonne on 2026-06-01. Year on year, the price is down 4.7% from USD 553.58/tonne on 2025-09-01.
According to CTRM Group, guar seed and guar gum prices rallied on the NCDEX driven by tightening local availability and aggressive buying momentum, in a report dated 31 August 2026. Earlier in the quarter, ChemAnalyst reported on 15 July 2026 that guar gum and seed futures fell on the NCDEX due to weak demand from the oil exploration sector and higher domestic production supply pressure.
Rediff Money reported on 16 September 2026 that guar seed futures rose by Rs 5 to Rs 6,678 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) due to higher investor bets.
The 52-week high stands at USD 654.16/tonne, recorded on 2025-12-01, and the 52-week low stands at USD 379.45/tonne, recorded on 2026-05-01.
