According to Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), safety inspections led to widespread mine suspensions in Zhejiang, Fujian, and Inner Mongolia, causing a persistent contraction in domestic fluorite supply. SMM also reported that downstream aluminum fluoride tender prices rose by 300-500 yuan/mt in early September, transmitting cost pressure from firm fluorite prices.

Claight market monitoring shows that maintenance-related shutdowns at Mongolian mines in mid-July reduced import volumes, further tightening available spot market inventory in China. Claight market monitoring also shows that rigid production quotas for third-generation refrigerants and summer peak season demand drove proactive inventory restocking by downstream factories.
