Ferrosilicon prices in China stood at USD 847.61/tonne as of 2026-09-30, down 0.8% from USD 854.50/tonne a week earlier. The price is up 0.9% from USD 840.38/tonne on 2026-08-31 and up 5.1% from USD 806.76/tonne on 2026-07-02. Over twelve months it has risen 15.1% from USD 736.20/tonne on 2025-09-30. The 52-week high stands at USD 908.97/tonne on 2026-09-04 and the low at USD 714.89/tonne on 2025-10-14.
According to Claight market monitoring, ferrosilicon spot prices in Ningxia rose to 6,100 RMB/ton by September 4, driven by semi-coke cost support and pre-holiday stockpiling. Claight market monitoring shows they then fell to 5,728 RMB/ton by September 24, as cost support weakened and downstream demand was sluggish.
Mysteel reports that China's total ferrosilicon production declined by 1.3% in August compared to July. Golden International Trade states that some ferrosilicon plants in Qinghai have begun taking furnaces offline due to losses from elevated production costs.
