Ethylene Vinyl Acetate in China Rises 0.1% to USD 1,646/tonne
EVA prices in China edged higher week on week while the quarterly gain reached 14.3%, according to the latest market data.
Ethylene vinyl acetate in China was priced at USD 1,646/tonne as of 2026-10-01, up 0.1% from USD 1,644/tonne a week earlier on 2026-09-24. The price has climbed 6.7% over the month, from USD 1,542/tonne on 2026-09-01, and stands 14.3% higher than the USD 1,440/tonne recorded on 2026-07-03. Year on year, the price is up 2.8% from USD 1,601/tonne on 2025-10-01.
Claight market monitoring shows that industry-wide operating rates retreated to 65% to 70% due to concentrated maintenance shutdowns and grade switching across multiple EVA units. The same monitoring records that petrochemical plants repeatedly raised ex-factory prices by 300 to 700 RMB/ton due to low inventories.
Raw material costs have also moved higher. According to Claight market monitoring, CFR Northeast Asia ethylene prices reached USD 1,147.5/ton, providing strong raw material cost support.
Over the past 52 weeks, the China price peaked at USD 1,959/tonne on 2026-04-14 and reached a low of USD 1,395/tonne on 2026-01-01.
