Epoxy Resin Price in China Slips 0.7% to USD 2,106/tonne
Epoxy resin in China edged lower on the week but holds a monthly gain as feedstock costs and firm specialty demand offset weak seasonal consumption.
Epoxy resin in China was quoted at USD 2,106/tonne as of 2026-09-03, down 0.7% from USD 2,120/tonne on 2026-08-27. The price is up 0.7% over the month from USD 2,092/tonne on 2026-08-04 and down 6.9% over the quarter from USD 2,261/tonne on 2026-06-05. Year on year, the price is 8.0% higher than USD 1,950/tonne on 2025-09-03.
Claight market monitoring shows upstream raw materials bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin tightened in supply and rose in price in July, putting cost pressure on epoxy resin manufacturers. SCI99 reported that manufacturers raised offers mid-July following significant feedstock price increases, causing prices to fluctuate upwards.
According to Claight market monitoring, July maintenance at multiple phenol-ketone and bisphenol-A production units tightened supply before restarts eased pressures in August. On the demand side, Claight market monitoring shows general epoxy resin demand remained weak due to the traditional summer off-season for coatings and flooring, limiting price transmission.
The same monitoring shows demand for high-end specialty resins used in AI servers and automotive PCBs remained strong, offsetting off-season weakness and keeping prices firm. The 52-week high stands at USD 2,856/tonne on 2026-03-17 and the 52-week low at USD 1,902/tonne on 2025-11-20.
