Epichlorohydrin Price in China Flat at USD 1,671/tonne
The Chinese epichlorohydrin price was unchanged over the past week but remains higher across the quarter.
Epichlorohydrin in China traded at USD 1,671/tonne as of 2026-09-30, according to Claight market monitoring. This leaves the weekly change at +0.0% compared with USD 1,670/tonne on 2026-09-23.
Over the longer term, the price has gained +0.2% since 2026-08-31, when it stood at USD 1,667/tonne, and is up +5.0% against USD 1,591/tonne recorded on 2026-07-02 at the start of the quarter. Year on year the assessment sits lower by 2.5% relative to USD 1,714/tonne on 2025-09-30.
Supply conditions have shifted during the period covered by recent sourcing. Mysteel reported on 2026-09-01 that domestic output increased 7.66% month-on-month in August to 125.1 kilotonnes, while ChemPriceHub noted on 2026-09-22 that domestic operating rates had risen to approximately 48% by that date, adding to available material.
On costs, Claight market monitoring showed propylene prices rising 11.77% by September 11, which provided support for production economics downstream of the feedstock. Propylene values subsequently eased through mid-September, with north China quotations falling from 10,025 to 9,635 CNY/ton between 2026-09-12 and 2026-09-20, based on reporting by ChemPriceHub dated 2026-09-21.
