The metal traded within a narrow range over the past year. The 52-week high was USD 2,703/tonne on 2026-09-21 and the 52-week low was USD 2,658/tonne on 2026-07-22.

Claight market monitoring shows that producers implemented voluntary output curtailments and maintained low inventory levels to support prices. The same monitoring notes that smelters in major southwestern regions faced high electricity and auxiliary material costs.

Demand-side activity was subdued, with stainless steel mills limiting purchases to immediate needs during the traditional off-season, according to Claight market monitoring. On the ore side, major overseas mining companies lowered shipment quotes for manganese ore to China.
