Dysprosium iron alloy in China was quoted at USD 208,104/tonne as of 2026-09-29, down 0.4% from USD 208,953/tonne a week earlier and 1.9% from USD 212,026/tonne on 2026-08-28. The quarter-on-quarter comparison stands at 3.2% above the USD 201,633/tonne recorded on 2026-07-01, while the year-on-year change is 6.5% below the USD 222,574/tonne level of 2025-09-29.

Over the past 52 weeks the commodity reached a high of USD 231,681/tonne on 2026-02-26 and a low of USD 182,508/tonne on 2026-05-29.

Several developments from the Chinese market accompanied the softer September trend. Shanghai Metals Market reported that dysprosium-iron alloy prices in China fell by 5,000 yuan/mt on September 23 owing to resistance to high-price transactions and lower inquiry prices. Benchmark Mineral Intelligence noted that Chinese domestic dysprosium and terbium prices retreated throughout September 2026 from their mid-Q3 highs. RAWMATERIALS.net reported that China exported only 802 kilograms of dysprosium in August 2026, a decline from 11,292 kilograms in July.

Shanghai Metals Market reported that prices in China remained stable on September 30 as the market entered a wait-and-see phase before the National Day holiday.
