DOP Price in China Rises 3.5% to USD 1,459/tonne

DOP prices in China rose to USD 1,459/tonne as of 2026-09-04, an increase of 3.5% from USD 1,410/tonne on 2026-08-28. The month-on-month gain stands at 12.0% from USD 1,303/tonne on 2026-08-05, the quarter has brought a rise of 7.2% from USD 1,361/tonne on 2026-06-05, and the year-on-year increase is 38.3% from USD 1,055/tonne on 2025-09-04.
According to Claight market monitoring, raw material isooctanol prices rose 10.55% in August, providing cost-side support for DOP prices. Claight market monitoring also shows that downstream PVC product manufacturers shifted to buy-as-needed procurement in late August as prices reached 9,400-9,500 RMB/ton.
Supply-side data point to reduced output. Claight market monitoring shows DOP producers reduced plant operating rates to 47% in August due to margin compression and high input costs. Mysteel reports that DOP plant capacity utilization fell to 53% in August, a 3% month-on-month decrease.
