DOP prices in China stood at USD 1,554/tonne as of 2026-10-01, a rise of 1.3% from USD 1,534/tonne on 2026-09-24. Over the month, the price is up 9.0% from USD 1,426/tonne on 2026-09-01, and over the quarter it has gained 30.7% from USD 1,188/tonne on 2026-07-03. On a yearly basis, the price is 50.2% higher than the USD 1,035/tonne recorded on 2025-10-01.
The 52-week high stands at USD 1,579/tonne on 2026-09-17, and the 52-week low at USD 963.88/tonne on 2025-11-17.
Supply-side factors have been cited for the recent movement. According to Claight market monitoring, Hualu Hengsheng scheduled a 20-day maintenance shutdown for its isooctanol unit starting September 8, 2026. Claight market monitoring also shows that phthalic anhydride prices rose in early September due to maintenance at certain production facilities. Both developments bear on feedstock and intermediate availability in the Chinese market.
Earlier in the year, prices moved on similar fundamentals. According to Worldnews.com, DOP prices surged 30.7% in March 2026, driven by a feedstock spike and a crude oil rally.
