Cyclohexane Price in China Steady at USD 1,019/tonne
Cyclohexane in China held at USD 1,019/tonne on 2026-09-30, unchanged over the week but up 2.7% over the month.
Cyclohexane prices in China stood at USD 1,019/tonne as of 2026-09-30, unchanged from USD 1,019/tonne a week earlier. Over the month the price rose 2.7% from USD 992.10/tonne on 2026-08-31, and it is up 6.5% on the quarter from USD 957.43/tonne on 2026-07-02. Year on year the price is 0.8% higher than the USD 1,011/tonne recorded on 2025-09-30.
Feedstock costs pushed the September gain. ChemAnalyst reported on 2026-09-10 that benzene prices rose 6.24% in the first week of September 2026, increasing feedstock costs for cyclohexane producers. Sinopec raised its listed pure benzene price by 550 RMB/ton to 9,900 RMB/ton by 2026-09-20, according to Claight market monitoring, which also recorded Jiangsu port inventories of pure benzene reaching a historic low of 38,000 tonnes as of 2026-09-18.
Supply was tight as well. Claight market monitoring shows maintenance at Shandong cyclohexanone plants curtailed byproduct cyclohexane supply in September 2026.
Within the past 52 weeks the commodity reached a high of USD 1,165/tonne on 2026-03-11 and a low of USD 906.83/tonne on 2026-07-08.
