Corn Starch Price in China Slips 0.4% to USD 426.76/tonne

Corn starch prices in China stood at USD 426.76/tonne as of 2026-09-10, down 0.4% from USD 428.63/tonne on 2026-09-03. The price is down 0.9% over the month, from USD 430.82/tonne on 2026-08-11, and down 2.8% over the quarter from USD 439.20/tonne on 2026-06-12.

Despite the recent softness, the year-on-year comparison remains positive, with the price up 6.1% from USD 402.09/tonne on 2025-09-10. Over the past 52 weeks, the market has traded between a high of USD 441.79/tonne on 2026-07-03 and a low of USD 392.02/tonne on 2025-11-05.

Export data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China shows China exported 24,586 metric tons of corn starch in July 2026, a year-on-year increase of 54.25%. Cumulative exports for January to July 2026 rose by 28.41% year-on-year.

Claight market monitoring shows domestic food-grade corn starch average prices in China decreased by 0.40% over the week ending June 8, 2026, driven by weak raw material costs. The Dalian Commodity Exchange recorded a 2nd-month corn starch settlement price of 2,510 RMB/ton on September 11, 2026.
