Copra Price in India Rises 16.1% to USD 1,755/tonne

Copra in India was quoted at USD 1,755/tonne as of 2026-08-22, down 0.3% from USD 1,761/tonne a week earlier. On the month, the price is up 16.1% from USD 1,512/tonne on 2026-07-18, and over the quarter it has gained 13.1% from USD 1,552/tonne on 2026-05-23. Year on year, the commodity is down 32.1% from USD 2,583/tonne on 2025-08-16.

The 52-week high stands at USD 2,514/tonne, recorded on 2025-10-25, and the 52-week low at USD 1,375/tonne on 2026-06-27.

MandiPulse reports that copra prices in local mandis experienced volatility due to low arrivals, weather-related disruptions and fluctuations in buyer activity during the last 90 days. Its daily market reports recorded a 34.29% jump on 2026-08-11 and a 40.73% jump on 2026-08-14, both attributed to low arrivals and increased buyer activity. On 2026-08-18, prices fell 49.91% owing to higher arrivals and reduced buyer demand.

MandiPulse further reported a 22.87% jump on 2026-08-24 and a 23.09% jump on 2026-09-05, both linked to low arrivals and weather-related disruptions. Between these, prices fell 24.36% on 2026-08-26 on higher arrivals and reduced buyer demand, before a 29.82% jump on 2026-08-28 driven by low arrivals and export-driven demand.
